Creativity
Original ideas under constraints.
What we measure
Fluency. Generating many ideas quickly.
Flexibility. Switching categories and perspectives.
Originality. Novel yet relevant ideas.
Problem reframing. Redefining the brief to unlock solutions.
Why it matters
Creativity drives content, product ideas, research approaches, marketing angles, and resilient problem-solving when plans fail.
How we test it
OPEN prompts require multiple ideas or a novel approach, scored for usefulness and originality. SJT asks you to choose the most promising option under constraints. SR captures creative habits. Adaptive; reports include score, tier, SE, and N.
Tips to improve
- Set idea quotas (e.g., 10 options) before judging.
- Add constraints (budget, time, materials) to spark invention.
- Combine random inputs (SCAMPER, mash-ups).
- Keep a swipe file of examples; remix them.
- Alternate focused sprints with incubation breaks.
